(NSCIA) National Spinal Cord Injury Association

Doug has served as President of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association (NSCIA) for four years (1999-2004). The NSCIA has served the Public for more than fifty years and was originally founded by the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). More than one thousand individuals contact the NSCIA daily.

The NSCIA serves America and its Spinal Cord injured and Spinal cord diseased population. Every thirty minutes an American becomes paralyzed for life. The goal of the NSCIA is to offer resources, peer support, chapters, support groups, National Programs, Prevention issues, a voice in legislation and a wide variety of coping mechanisms. Tragically many times in life people become overwhelmed and lose hope.
